FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any weight or health restrictions that I should be aware of before participating in a bungee fitness or aerial yoga class?

Yes. Restrictions are set in place to ensure the safety and success of the participant.  You should NOT participate in a bungee fitness class if:

  • you are not within the height and weight threshold of at least 5 feet tall and weighing between 90 and 240 pounds.  This weight limit is determined by the building code requirements for our specific location and the specific equipment that we use.  Requirements at other bungee fitness studios may be different.

  • You are pregnant or believe that you may be pregnant

  • You have had a recent surgery and have not been cleared by your doctor to resume exercise

  • You have current injuries and have not been cleared by your doctor to exercise

  • You have chronic neck and/or back pain and have not been cleared by your doctor to exercise

  • You are under the influence of drugs or alcohol

There are no weight or height restrictions for mat-based yoga classes.  Mat-based yoga can be safe for those that are pregnant, recovering from an injury or suffering from chronic pain, but please consult your doctor before attending class.

Are there age restrictions for bungee fitness, aerial yoga and mat-based yoga classes?

Yes.  Participants must be at least 16 years of age.  Participants age 13-15 may attend if accompanied by a responsible adult.  All participants under age 18 must also have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian on file before they will be cleared to participate.  All participants are required to meet the height and weight requirements for bungee and aerial yoga classes.  We may occasionally offer classes for younger participants.  When doing so we will be sure to clearly outline restrictions and rules in the class description.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes.  All participants must fill out and sign our health questionnaire and liability waiver before participating in any class.  You will be asked to fill this out when you book your first class.

When should I arrive for my class?

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of your scheduled class.  This allows us to ensure that your station is appropriately set up and that you have time to settle in.  Please do not be late.  We lock the doors at the beginning of class to insure the safety and sanctity of our space and will not be able to accommodate late comers.

What should I wear?

For bungee classes, we recommend athletic leggings or longer bike shorts, comfortable but not loose tanks or tees, and tennis shoes.  Loose shorts, pants or cropped tanks and tees are not recommended.  Long hair should be put in a high bun, low ponytail or braid.

For aerial yoga, we make the same recommendations but shoes will not be worn.  For mat-based yoga, feel free to wear what you are most comfortable in.  Shoes will not be worn.
